Amboseli Giants & Kilimanjaro
ELEPHANT COUNTRY 6 DAYS

Amboseli Giants & Kilimanjaro

Kenya · Amboseli
Max 6 Guests
THE LAND OF GIANTS

Amboseli holds some of the last great tuskers left in Africa, free-roaming elephant herds that move daily between swamp and acacia woodland with Kilimanjaro rising behind them.

Six days gives enough time to catch the park's famous herds in different light and moods, from dawn silhouettes to dusty midday wallowing, without the rush of a shorter stop.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

A flexible outline — every itinerary is tailored around your dates and interests.

01
DAY 01

Arrival & Kilimanjaro Sundowner

Transfer from the airstrip to your camp on the edge of the Amboseli ecosystem. As afternoon settles, join a sundowner drive to the swamp's edge and toast the sunset as Kilimanjaro's snow-capped summit catches the day's last light.

Arrival & Kilimanjaro Sundowner
02
DAY 02

Elephant Herds of Amboseli

A full morning tracking Amboseli's famous large-tusker elephant herds as they move between swamp and acacia woodland, with Kilimanjaro rising behind them in one of Africa's most photographed backdrops.

Field Note

Midday haze can soften Kilimanjaro's outline — the clearest views are almost always in the first hour after sunrise.

03
DAY 03

Observation Hill & Swamp Circuit

Climb Observation Hill for a panoramic view over the entire ecosystem, then spend the afternoon on the swamp-edge circuit, home to hippo, waterbuck, and dense concentrations of waterbirds.

04
DAY 04

Maasai Cultural Encounter

After a morning game drive, visit a Maasai community living on the edge of the Amboseli ecosystem to learn how they coexist with the elephant herds that pass through their grazing land each season.

05
DAY 05

Second Elephant Tracking Day & Fever Tree Forests

Return to the herds for a second day, this time exploring the yellow-bark fever tree forests on the park's fringes, a favored haunt for elephant family groups sheltering from the midday sun.

06
DAY 06

Departure Game Drive & Transfer

A final morning drive through the swamp circuit before a relaxed breakfast and transfer back toward Nairobi or your onward connection.
