Arrival & Rhino Sanctuary Orientation
Transfer into the conservancy and settle into camp before an afternoon orientation drive introducing East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary and its rolling, well-managed plains.
Chimpanzee Sanctuary Visit
Morning visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, home to chimps rescued from the illegal pet and bushmeat trade, the only place in Kenya to see the species in a natural setting.
Walking Safari with Armed Rangers
A guided walking safari on foot alongside conservancy rangers, tracking rhino spoor at eye level and learning to read the smaller signs of the bush that a vehicle drive would miss.
Field Note
Walking safaris move at a naturalist's pace — wear closed, sturdy shoes and expect frequent stops to examine tracks and sign.
Predator Tracking & Community Conservancy Visit
Morning game drive focused on the conservancy's lion and African wild dog populations, followed by an afternoon visit to a community conservation initiative supported by conservancy tourism revenue.
Departure Transfer
A final rhino-tracking drive before breakfast and transfer back toward Nairobi.
